The smallest inhabited island, affectionately called the 'Island of Flowers' (Ilha das Flores). Relatively wet and green, it's a quiet oasis of colorful blooms. With no airport, it's reached only by ferry from Fogo — a remote gem with superb hiking trails and simple island life.
